![]() ![]() ![]() They have pretty weak units, but you can build a lot. ![]() It is very rewarding though when done successfully. Gondor makes for a very fast paced playstyle where you have to been on the ball from turn 1 to stay from getting overwhelmed. They need this though, as you fight Harad to the south and Mordor to the right from the beginning. Gondor has slow recruitment when compared to other human nations, but they also get stronger infantry before the military report which is turn ~40 when you can build advanced war buildings for all nations. Good for a patient, methodical playstyle. The golden horde of archers, swordsmen, spearmen, and cav will crush most of what you fight aside from power units like trolls or Sauron. The elves have slow recruitment and expensive upkeep, but they have the strongest units in the game. Their usual spam week units tactics didn't seem all too fun. I have never really enjoyed playing as evil factions. (Also the Silvan Elves, but I'll just keep it to the High Elves.) Also, I play vanilla third age. I personally have had the most fun with the High Elves, Gondor, and oddly, The Free Peoples of Eriador. ![]()
